Rustenburg – MEC for the Department of Community Safety and Transport Management, Sello Lehari has welcomed the law enforcement delegation led by Deputy Minister for Police, Cassel Mathale in the North West. The Deputy Minister is leading the third quarter MINMEC in Rustenburg, from Thursday to Friday.
MINMEC is a sectoral policy forum that consists of national ministers together with provincial heads under the same portfolio. The forum is established under the Intergovernmental Relations Framework Act of 2005 and enables government to engage on matters within the portfolio.
The MINMEC will also afford the Deputy Minister and MEC’s from different provinces to conduct oversight visits to selected police stations in the Bojanala District. In order to assess the condition of the stations and their capacity to meet the needs of communities they service.
