LATE “SLEBBY” MMULUTSI CELEBRATED AT GD MONTSHIOA AIRPORT

Known as humble, punctual and hard working cleaner at Tirelo Building, head office for the Department of Community Safety and Transport Management, Ms Selebatso Mmulutsi’s life was celebrated by her colleagues, friends, family and relatives.

Having worked for 12 years in the public service, affectionately known as “Slebby”, the deceased was described by her colleagues as a people’s person, who was polite and approachable.

Speaking during her memorial service at the GD Montshioa Aiport, *Slebby’s” colleague, Ms Gloria Nojila shared her unforgettable time spent together at work, where she emphasised on the deceased workaholic ethics.

“We met in 2015, and in her I found a humble, punctual and hardworking human being.

She was fun to be around. It is hard to believe that we have lost one of the kindest colleague,’ said Ms Nojila.

Ms Dineo Kgokong a friend and colleague of the deceased shared a painful experience to lose a friend, whom their journey started in 2013.

“Our friendship was filled with personal development, laughter and love.
We used to advise each other and wanted a better life. We always rewarded ourselves for hardwork, so on our pay day we will go and enjoy meals at restaurants. We indeed enjoyed ourselves and I’m badly wounded,” said Ms Kgokong.

The Security and Facility Management Manager Mr Sylvester Khonkhobe, sent a message of condolences to the bereaved family and colleagues.

“We will never forget her the good work, smart and cleanness. We had several personal interactions, and she was comfortable enough to tell me about her sickness and we will pray together.

To the family, as the department we are grateful for the services of your child and to colleagues, we must be reminded that you should be your brother’s keeper,” he said.

Ms Mmulutsi’s passing came as a results of long chronic illness and she will be laid to rest this coming weekend, October, 18, 2025, at Mocoseng village.
