LAW ENFORCEMENT STAMPED AUTHORITY DURING THUNTSHA LEROLE PROGRAMME IN JB MARKS

Motorists traveling along the R30 between Ventersdorp and Klerksdorp were left with no choice but to comply with road regulations. Those who did not, had their trips curtailed before reaching their destinations.

This, as a result of a law enforcement operation on compliance and warrants of arrest, which was part of the JB Marks Thuntsha Lerole Accelerated Service Delivery Programme.

The operation was led by the North West MEC for Community Safety and Transport Management, Wessels Morweng who continued to engage with motorists, encouraging them to comply with the law and ensure maximum cooperation on the road.

MEC said motorists need to cooperate and drive to the conditions of the road especially during the inclement weather.

Traffic fines were issued to defaulting motorists, most of whom were those without driving licenses, worn out tyres and expired vehicle discs.

MEC was accompanied by senior managers of the Department and had later joined the feedback session at Buflesvlei led by Premier Lazarus Kagiso Mokgosi.
