TKC national Committees present their law enforcement operational reports
The second day of the Information sharing session is currently in process where the Trans Kalahari Corridor National Committees from the Three Member States are presenting their domestic law enforcement operations they held in their individual countries.
Domestic operations are some of the resolutions taken for the countries national Committees are strengthening law enforcement and compliance on the corridor.
The second day of the 14th Joint Law Enforcement Operation (JLEO), started with the address by the North West Provincial Commissioner for South African Police Service, Lieutenant General Sello Kwena who committed continuous support of the tkc operations.
“Our responsibility is provision of protection of goods and drivers.
This operation is therefore very important to us to ensure that the whole value chain is protected,” said Kwena who emphasised on initiatives that they continue to have meetings with private security companies and all relevant stakeholders to decisively deal with criminalities along the corridor.
All country reports outlines the importance of having law enforcement simultaneously throughout the corridor.
In conclusion of countries reports, South Africa through its law enforcement agencies will outline their operational plan for the next coming three days, where they will stamp authority and engage road users on issues of road safety.
