MEC MORWENG HAVING A MEET AND GREET WITH SANTACO LEADERSHIP

MEC Wessels Morweng meeting SANTACO

TIRELO BUILDING- MEC for Community Safety and Transport Management Wessels Morweng with the Head of Department (HOD) Dr Hans Kekana and some Senior Managers met with the South African National Taxi Council (SANTACO) Executive as part of the MEC’s engagements with key stakeholders.

SANTACO raised several issues that they indicated to be concerned about and requested the MEC to assist in resolving them.

One of the key issues included lack of funding from the Department and the MEC promised to establish a task team to look into that matter as well as other matters that they raised and gave an assurance to provide feedback in the coming days.

SANTACO under the chairmanship of Mr Tladi welcomed the undertakings made by the MEC and also promised continued support towards the programmes of the Department.
