TWO LIVES LOST ON THE R378 NEAR GANYESA TOWARDS MOROKWENG
Two people lost their lives while 18 were injured in a horific accidents this evening on the R378 Road, five kilometers from Ganyesa towards Morokweng.
According to the reports,Toyota Hilux single Cab collided with an astray animal(cow)resulting in the secondary coalition with a minibus-taxi Toyota Quantum resulting in the minibus losing control and landing on the side.
18 of the injured were taken to Ganyesa District Hospital with five critical, 6 with no injuries and 7 with minors.
The road was temporary closed as the law enforcement agencies continue with their investigations.
MEC for Community Safety and Transport Management Wessels Morweng have once again called for farmers to look after their livestock.
“The roaming of livestock on our roads in the evening is a cause for concern and we are urging our communities to look after their livestock as each and every week we receive reports of accidents caused by these astray animals. I am also urging our motorists to reduce speed when they enter villages when visibility is very poor,” said MEC Morweng as he wishes speedy recovery to those who are injured and send message of condolences to the families of the deceased.
