THE DEPARTMENTAL EASTER SERVICE 2025/2026 IN BOJANALA

In the spirit of renewal, hope, and resurrection, officials gathered on the 09th of April 2025 for a special Pre-Easter church service hosted by The South African Police Service, in collaboration with The Department of Community Safety and Transport Management. The event took place at the African Methodist Episcopal Church in Tlhabane, Bojanala Platinum District, Rustenburg.

Led by Programme Director Chaplain Raky Simon Kwape, proceedings opened with a dynamic prayer by Reverent More, which was followed by a moving praise and worship session, setting a reverent tone for the gathering.

Delivering the purpose of the day, Acting Bojanala Platinum Sub-District 2 Brigardier Mamotsamai Ntoagae, reminded attendees of the meaning of Easter, “This service is a celebration of resurrection, redemption, and renewal. It reminds us that light overcomes darkness, and hope triumphs over despair. Today we are here to enjoy ourselves, to sing, dance and ask for prayers,” said the Brigadier.

Executive Mayor, Cllr Mabale-Huma, furnished the congregation with a message of support, wishing everyone a happy Easter and firmly speaking out against the sexual assault of children currently dominating news cycles. “As we approach the Easter weekend, I extend heartfelt wishes of peace and spiritual renewal for all. Let this season renew our collective commitment to end the sexual violence against children, and build a society where every person is safe,” stated The Executive Mayor.

The event served as a moment of pause and spiritual renewal for officials as Easter holidays approach. Pastors in attendance preached a unified message to end Gender Based Violence and Femicide in South Africa.

Reverent Tukisi, who gave a summary of The Seven Words on The Cross, emphasized the value of compassion and forgiveness, stating “In order to experience spiritual freedom, learn to forgive others. Learn to let go of things that weight heavy on your spirit and prevent you from having a goodnight sleep. Show kindness and integrity in all that you do.”

Officials left the service spiritually recharged and inspired, carrying forward the Easter message of love, forgiveness, and new beginnings.

The Department of Community Safety and Transport Management wishes all staff and their families a peaceful and blessed Easter.
