AEROBICS SESSION KEEPS EMPLOYEES ENERGIZED

Mafikeng, 19 February 2025 – The Department of Community Safety  and Transport Management at the Tirelo Building Wellness Center was buzzing with energy this afternoon as employees gathered for an invigorating Aerobics Session aimed at promoting workplace wellness.

Employees from various directorates showed up in their workout gear, ready to break a sweat. A skilled instructor, Mary Mamogale of the Intergrated Employee Health and Wellness management, lead the session which featured high-energy moves, upbeat music, and a strong sense of camaraderie. Participants left feeling refreshed, recharged, and motivated to maintain a healthy work- life balance. “Exercising has proven to improve life, there are limitations such as illness that can reduce employee mobility and moral. However, these sessions encourage healthy living and improve overall lifestyle choices that ensure that we serve our community to our greatest ability,” said Mamogale.

Employees expressed enthusiasm for more wellness initiatives, highlighting the importance of fitness in reducing stress and boosting productivity. One participant, Agisanang Kgaje, firmly believes that this initiative has a great impact on the work produced by employees, “Aerobics is not only a good exercise for physical health but for mental health as well. I feel relieved after this session and believe more sessions like this will yield good results in the work I do.”

With hydration bottles in hand and smiles on their faces, attendees wrapped up the session looking forward to the next wellness event. “Sessions like these are much needed on a regular basis as they implore a healthy lifestyle,” stated another participant, Keneilwe Tswaile from Financial Accounting directorate.

Employees are looking forward for more health-focused activities, because a healthy team is a productive team.
