Anti drug, bullying and child trafficking campaigns

Anti drug, bullying and child trafficking campaigns were on top of the agenda for the Department of Community Safety and Transport Management’sThuntsha Lerole Accelerated Service Delivery Programme in Bokhutso this morning.
Coordinated relevant stakeholders, the department led presentations at both Ditsobotla and Legae-thuto primary schools.
This, as part of efforts to create a safer learning environment at schools as learners are encouraged to avoid drugs and remain focused on their studies.
The departmental activities also included Road Safety Education at Early Childhood Development centres, law enforcement operations and the monitoring of learner transport to ensure that contracted service providers comply with the required regulations.
A total of 09 buses were checked and 05 operator licenses on AARTO 01 Notice were issued, while 210 vehicles were stopped at the law enforcement operation where 14 AARTO Notices were issued and executed 40 warrant of arrests.
