DCSTM WELCOMES THE NEW ICT DIRECTOR

The Department of Community Safety and Transport Management extends a warm welcome to Mr. Dumisani Mogorosi, newly appointed Director of Information Communications and Technology.

The meeting was chaired by the Acting Head of Department, Mr. Molefi Morule, who briefed staff on how ICT supports the department’s vision and mission. “ICT is more than laptop repairs; it enables business and serves as the department’s first line of defence. For the ICT directorate to be effective, it consists of three sub-directorates; Infrastructure Management, Records Management and Application Management, must work together,” said Mr. Morule.

The Acting HOD further urged employees to focus on personal development to enhance their capabilities for roles in both the private and public sectors. “Personal growth makes you better in your current job by being a problem solver and your skills stay sharpened, it also builds you as a person, not just an employee but teaching resilience, time management and emotional intelligence,” added Mr. Morule.

Staff members from the three sub-directorates of Information Communications and Technology, Infrastructure Management, Records Management, and Application Management, extended a cordial and enthusiastic welcome to their newly appointed Director, Mr. Dumisani Mogorosi, during his introduction to the team.
