DR RSM District debate competition
VRYBURG: The road to the Provincial Road Safety School Debates competition continues to narrow today.
The Department of Community Safety and Transport Management, through the Directorate of Road Safety Management, is rolling out Phase 3 of the school debate roadshow in Dr Ruth Segomotsi Mompati District.
Through the school debates, learners will advocate for responsible driving and adherence to road rules to reduce the high rate of pedestrian deaths on our roads.
Beyond road safety, the programme is designed to unleash personal growth. Learners will build research skills, sharpen leadership abilities, and strengthen problem-solving as they engage with real community issues.
The Department believes that when learners speak, communities listen and safer roads begin with informed young voices.
DR RSM District – Road Safety School Debates Results:
- 1st Place: Kismet Secondary School District Winners!
- 2nd Place: Pitso Letlhogile Secondary School
- 3rd Place: Pinagare High School
Kismet Secondary School will now carry the Dr Ruth Segomotsi Mompati baton to the Provincial round.
Congratulations to all the schools
