MEC Wessels Morweng handover Shova Kalula Bicycles to learners in Biesiesvlei
Launch of Phase 4 Accelarated Service delivery Programme Thuntsa Lerole
As part of the launch of Phase 4 Accelarated Service delivery programme launched by the Premier of the North West Province Lazarus Kagiso Mokgosi in the Ditsobotla local municipality in Biesiesvlei, Department of Community Safety and Transport Management MEC Wessels Morweng handed over 27 Shova Kalula bicycles to Kgoke lesabe Secondary school (7 beneficiaries) and Tshiamelo Primary (20 beneficiaries).
The Department has mandate to provide the citizens with effective Transportation,learner Scholar Transport is part of that mandate.”Learners travelling the distance of less than 6km to school are given bicycle to travel to school” said HoD Dr Hans Kekana .While those travelling more than 6km use the Scholar Transport (buses).
MEC Morweng also did an oversight visit to Biesiesvlei Police Station and was part of the Law Enforcement joint operations.
