The Department of Community Safety and Transport Management has joined hands with Dr Kenneth Kaunda District municipality to raise awareness about the road safety and Arrive Alive responsibilities.

A key aspect of the integrated Road Safety Management programme is increasing pedestrian and road safety. The goals of the campaign is to reduce the number of road accidents in general and fatalities in order to improve road users compliance with traffic laws.

The road safety and Arrive Alive campaign forge improved working relationships between traffic authorities in the barriers spheres of Government.

“Indeed this is a fatal season where we will be faced with different behaviors’ of motorists and pedestrians, whether reckless or not, they still depend on you, let us make sure that tomorrow they will still be on our roads and will still feel safe and law abiding under your presence” these were the words of the City of Matlosana’s Executive Mayor, Mr Ntlupheko James Tsolela.

Ms Lorato Nkondla as the Principal Road Safety Officer in the Dr Kenneth Kaunda District has invited different stakeholders such as the South African Police Services, Road Traffic Management, Community Policing Forum, PI Security , Trauma First Responder Chaplains 200 and the Aurum Institute to take part of the campaign.
