MEC MORWENG SHOCKED BY THE KILLING OF POLITICAL ACTIVIST MOKOENA LETSIE

MEC for Community Safety and Transport Management, Wessels Morweng, have learned with shock the killing of Mokoena Letsie who was Llinked to South African Council of Churches and the founder of movement called Potch4Palestine.

According to the reports, Mokoena was short multiple times in what is suspected to be a hit.

The killing of Mokoena follows on the heels of the similar killing of another Social Activist Thato Molosankwe who was killed by assailants last week.

MEC MORWENG have called community members around Potchefstroom and the province at large to be calm and allow the police to inverstigate the matter.

MEC Morweng have called on the police to leave no stone unturned in hunting those responsible for the killing.

“We are still mourning the loss of Thato who was killed last week and this week is Mokoena, who are this people who have no regard to life’s, our police are out to look for the murders and I am calling the communities who might have any information to share with the police. We will hunt them down.”concluded
