RUSTENBURG: The MEC for Community Safety and Transport Management, Sello Lehari is joined by Head of the Department, Dr. Hans Kekana and Head of Office, Adv Tebogo Motlhamme, other senior managers as well as Provincial Regulatory Entity (PRE) and the North West Public Transport Intervention Team (NWPTIT) in Rustenburg.

This is to get a formal, quarterly briefing on the work done to intervene on array of disputes within communities and sectors across the province. The team also tapped into taxi association disputes, buses and other societal pandaemoniums that sporadically rear ugly heads.

The teams have made commendable progress in stabilising the province in their area of responsibilities. The Chairpersons of the committees Star Vilakazi (NWPTIT) and Ontlametse Motswari (PRE) also made presentations on logistical challenges facing their work and pleaded for more resources to reinforce and capacitate the intervention teams.

MEC Sello Lehari thanked the teams and reiterated his call for more work to harmonise the province.
