MEC TO BRIEF MEDIA ON NEWLY APPOINTED PRE BOARD MEMBERS

The North West MEC for Community Safety and Transport Management, Wessels Morweng will brief the media on the newly appointed Provincial Regulatory Entity (PRE) members to ensure proper regulation of public passenger transport sector.

The PRE is established in accordance with the National Land Transport (NLT) Act 5 0f 2009 and is responsible for adjudicating on operator license applications.

The seven committee members will also be expected to ensure illegal taxi operation is being dealt with.
