PROVINCIAL NATIS USER GROUP MEETING

The Department of Community Safety and Transport Management hosted the first day of its quarterly Provincial NaTIS User Group (PNUG) meeting in Klerksdorp, Dr Kenneth Kaunda District.
Chaired by Deputy Director for Transport Administration and Licensing, Ms Lerato Segopolo, the engagement brought together NaTIS Helpdesk officials, supervisors and other stakeholders from across the province to strengthen collaboration, improve system efficiency and integrity, and enhance service delivery.

Technology and innovation took centre stage, with Road Traffic Management Corporation (RTMC) representative Mr Shaamiel Adriaanse presenting new NaTIS developments aimed at improving record verification and advancing digital motor vehicle licensing services.
Advocate Thoka emphasised the importance of keeping pace with technological advancements, noting that the transport sector is increasingly driven by technology and innovation.
The National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications (NRCS) also highlighted its role in ensuring that vehicles comply with applicable legislation, standards and specifications, contributing to safer and more compliant vehicles on our roads.

Through the PNUG platform, stakeholders continue to share knowledge, address challenges and identify opportunities to build a more efficient, secure and responsive transport administration and licensing environment.
