Capacitation of police stations and community structures with resources is one of the highlights on deliberations at the ongoing consultation session on Draft National Policing Policy in Mahikeng today.

The two-day session has today gained momentum with increased numbers of participants which amongst are Community Police Forums (CPFs) and community representatives at large.

One of the participants during commissions said it is important for the policy to address the need of resources and capacitation of structures that are aimed at fighting crime.

The commissions are divided in four according to the National Policing Policy pillars:
– Professional and Quality Policing
– A Trusted Police Service
– Efficient Effective Service Delivery
-Strong and Ethical Leadership Management

North West is the 8th Province to host consultations on the Draft National Policing Policy.

The Draft Policy has been gazette for public participation.
