THE 20th National Employee Wellness Sports and Recreation 2025

The Department of Community Safety and Transport Management, alongside The Department of Public Works and Roads have jointly kick started the 2025 NEWSRC Tournament at Olympia Stadium in Rusternburg.

This tournament is an annual sports and recreation event which is aimed at promoting employee wellness and togetherness within the public sector. The event is sponsored by Sanlam and Assupol.

MEC for Public Works and Roads Elizabeth Mokua gave a key note address and encouraged participants to ensure that they all win. Management who graced this auspicious event were Acting HOD for Public Works and Roads Sfiso Dikobe, Cllr. Mpule Selebaleng from Bojanala District Municipality, Acting Chief Director Corporate Services Patrick Mohono, Ngaka Modiri Molema District Director Pelo Kotu, and Director for Transport Administration and Licensing Suebel Mmono.

Officials from various departments will be participating in following sporting codes; Soccer, Ladies’ Soccer, Netball, Tennis, Volleyball and Golf
