The North West Department of Community Safety and Transport Management has welcomed the Select Committee on Security and Justice, which is currently conducting oversight visit in the North West.

The committee’s visit is to asses police stations and child justice centres, with the theme: Reflection and Renewal.

The visit started at the Hartbeesfontein Police Station in the Matlosana Municipal area.
The committee will also visit the Stilfontein police station to assess efforts in place to combat illegal mining and gang activities.

Department’s delegation is led by the Chief Director for Provincial Secretariat for Police Ms Mpho Rantona, accompanied by senior managers within the department.

The Provincial Chairperson of the Portfolio Committee on Community Safety and Transport Management, Freddy Sonakile also attended the session.
