TRIBUTE TO THE LATE SPI MOTHIBI NTHABISENG

Officials of Department of Community Safety and Transport gathered to pay their last respects to a remarkable individual who dedicated his life to serve with pride and deligience protecting our communities. Mr Nthabiseng Glatton Mothibi, may be gone but his legacy will live in the hearts of many.

Chaplain Mothabeng solemnly convenes the memorial service, offering a heartfelt and comforting message to the grieving officials and family members. With compassion and empathy, Chaplain Mothabeng sets the tone for a dignified and meaningful tribute, acknowledging the profound impact of the departed traffic officer’s life and service.

Acting Chief Director, Mr. Patrick . Mohono, expressed the department’s heartfelt condolences, acknowledging the painful loss of a dedicated colleague. He emphasized the department’s commitment to continuing its interventions and support for its officials. “We have lost a diligent and hardworking individual who tirelessly served on the frontlines. To the family members, as the department we offer our sincerest condolences. You have given us a remarkable individual, , may his soul rest in perfect peace,” he said.

Wolmaraansstad station manager CPI Van Wijk portrayed SPI Mothibi as an individual who was energetic in everything he does and further expressed how grateful he is to have worked with him. “when giving tasks, SPI Mothibi with full energy will execute it splendidly. The coming of SPI Mothibi to Wolmaransstad Station brought a huge change to me and the team,” said CPI Van Wijk.

Chief Provincial Inspector Mmutle who is chairperson of sports in the department also expressed his condolences and shared his relationship with SPI Mothibi. “You would never be sad when he’s around, he had a special voice which would cheer you and for that also we will forever miss him. Indeed, he served with pride and diligence,” said CPI Mmutle.

SPI Mothibi was also a friendly person in when off duty, he was always in the happy mood irrespective of any challenge he may be encountering and he believed in supporting the youth. Mojalefa Tladi who took SPI Mothibi like a brother not a friend gratefully entailed his relationship with SPI Mothibi, “Mr Mothibi was a very supportive brother, he sponsored our football team with soccer balls. We will forever cherish his contribution to our team and the community at large,” said Mr Tladi.

His dedication to his work was unwavering, and his commitment to public service was inspiring. He was a true hero who put his life on the line every day to protect others. As officials say their final goodbyes, they take comfort in to knowledge that Mr Mothibi’s contributions to public service will never be forgotten. His selfless dedication to the public service has left an indelible mark on communities and the department.

The funeral service will take place in Ganyesa on Saturday, 22 March 2025. Rest in peace Mr Nthabiseng Glatton Mothibi. Your legacy will continue to inspire everyone to work towards a safer and compassionate society.
