United Against GBVF, Ganyesa Takes a Stand.
Ganyesa-The Department of Community Safety and Transport Management is leading the charge against Gender-Based Violence and Femicide (GBVF) in Kagisano Molopo Local Municipality.
As part of the ongoing campaign, stakeholders are uniting to combat this critical issue, fostering a collaborative effort to drive meaningful change and ensure a safer, more supportive and responsive environment for all vulnerable groups in Ganyesa. Today marks the end of 16 days of Activism against No violence against women, children and vulnerable groups. However the department in conjunction with stakeholders vowed to ensure that the culmination of today’s campaign remains and continue to be impactful as if it runs 365 days.
The Speaker of Dr. Ruth Segomotsi Mompati District, Dr. Kgalalelo Sereko in her keynote address urged women and girls to prioritize education and break free from toxic relationships. “You are fortunate enough, government of today provides free education, it leaves no one behind” . Furthermore she encourage parents to take fully responsibility of their children, advice and provide necessary guidance.
The campaigns main aim is to address contact crimes and take collective actions against the cases of GBVF in Ganyesa.
